about the range
b.box products are researched, designed and tested in Australia and manufactured in China – in line with all relevant international standards and our stringent design specifications and quality standards (we’re pretty tough on ourselves so that you don’t have to be!)
we take our responsibility to kids and parents very seriously. all b.box products are free from these nasties so you can have total confidence that when choosing b.box, you are choosing products that are safe for your bubs and the environment.
A bit of background… while not banned in Australia (as in the EU and USA), it is commonly accepted in the juvenile products industry that the use of plastics containing BPA, Phthalates or PVC are potentially harmful to infants and children, with links to developmental and hormonal issues and various cancers.
Furthermore, PVC is a known carcinogen, is the least recyclable form of plastic and its manufacture has significant adverse environmental impacts due to the number of additives and processes it needs to undergo. It’s a no brainer! we stay away from these materials because keeping kids safe is our upmost priority.
You sure can!
Over time, with general use and washing (and kiddie bites, bumps, drops and knocks), some parts of your b.box items may need replacing. You can refer to the spare parts on our website for specific replacement parts you may need.
If you are in need of a replacement straw, check our replacement straw packs.
sippy cup
spout cup
Simply unscrew the lid and pull on the tab to release the spout. Then to reassemble, push the silicone spout up into the lid until it pops into place. Now screw the top back on and you’re done.
Good question!
We recommend you remove the spout (as outlined above) to thoroughly wash each part of your cup with warm, soapy water.
You can use a b.box cleaning brush set too. It contains every brush you need to hygienically clean all your b.box items, on one handy ring. Or pop it into the dishwasher, on the top rack only.
To keep your bottle in tip top condition, don’t use scourers or other abrasive brushes. Allow your spout and other parts to dry completely before reassembling and putting away.
You can steam sterilise most parts of your spout cup, however as they are produced from different materials they can withstand different temperatures.
Please see below, and always check the manual on your steriliser unit for specific instructions on use and maximum temperatures:
- PP cup base and lid – up to 100°C
- Silicone spout – up to 180°C
- TPE Cap (that covers the silicone spout mouthpiece) – do not sterilise. We cannot guarantee the integrity of this at continued high temperatures.
es, you can. Please just be aware that UV sterilisation can sometimes cause discolouration to your spout cup.

insulated food jar
No. The food jar is not microwave safe.
We use food grade 304 stainless steel in our insulated drink bottles. We use this as it is more resistant to corrosion than 18/8 stainless steel, due to its strong resistance to the effect of various chemicals and acids.
As our testing reports show, there are no traces of lead or heavy metals detected in the testing of numerous samples. It is a very small amount of lead used for the soldering, and we are looking into eliminating this.
All our insulated drink bottles are BPA, Phthalates, and PVC free.
insulated drink bottle
To confirm, our insulated drink bottle is only leak proof when the flip lid is shut.
This straw will leak from the small pressure hole and straw when the lid is left open, and the bottle is tipped on an angle/upside down. If it seems to be leaking when the flip lid is shut, try to close the lid slowly so you can see if the groove inside the lid is matching up with the straw? This is the part that presses on the straw ensuring it does not leak with the lid closed.
Also, it is best to ensure all parts are inserted correctly; by removing both the mouthpiece & straw from the lid and reinserting it to make sure the mouthpiece is pulled through all way until you hear that 'click'.

insulated lunchbag
Our lunch bag has been designed for easy cleaning and is washing machine friendly. For a light clean simply wipe with a damp cloth inside and out. The outer fabric is water-resistant so it should repel most stains.
However, with kids around, we know there is still a chance it will get dirty! For tough stains or marks, ensure the bag is emptied and zips are closed before popping it in the washing machine on a gentle cycle at 30°C.
Avoid soaking, ironing or tumble drying. Keep the bag open when drying, making sure it is completely dry before reuse or storage.
lunchbox and mini lunchbox
You sure can. With general wear and tear, particularly when there’s kiddies involved we know that bits can sometimes get lost or damaged. You can find replacements of your silicone handle, silicone seal, divider, and sandwich divider and here. Just choose your preferred colour.
Firstly, separate all parts before cleaning to ensure no nasties get left behind. You can remove the silicone seal by pulling gently on the tab.
Handwash using warm soapy water and thoroughly clean every compartment.. You can use our cleaning brush set to get into any small crevasses. Allow to air dry completely before re-assembling, usually overnight before packing again the next morning!
To preserve the leakproof functionality dishwasher is not recommended. Avoid the use of abrasive cleaning agents of scourers as they may cause damage to your lunchbox
Dishwasher safe, top rack only, up to 60°C.
Use the small pull tab to gently peel the seal away from the lid.
After washing and drying completely, align the seal and pop the stretch feature through to the front side, making sure it sits flush with the lid.
On the inside of the lid, push down on the seal edges until it sits firmly in place.
Microwave safe base. Remove lid prior to microwaving.
We’re glad you asked!
To protect your print we recommend handwashing only. Sorry folks, no dishwashers here and please do not use abrasive agents or scourers; do not soak, do not wash with boiling/hot water (warm water only) as these can all cause your print to scratch or fade.
Please note, we generally recommend handwashing your lunchbox and lunchbox mini anyway, as dishwashers can compromise the integrity of your seals and damage your box.
There may be some slight fading to prints over the longer term, but this will not impact the performance of your lunchbox.

tritan drink bottle
It’s easiest shown in our Tritan drink bottle instructional video here.Â
But we can also explain…Â
firstly, unscrew the lid, open the flip-lid and pull the straw stem out of the silicone straw top. Then pull on the tab to release the straw top. Easy!Â
To reassemble, push the silicone straw top into the lid and turn the lid over, then pull the straw through until you feel and hear it click into place.Â
Reconnect the straw stem to the silicone straw top ensuring the cap of the straw stem is pushed in and tightly covering the base of the straw top.Â
Screw the lid back on and you’re done.Â
Good question!Â
We recommend straws be thoroughly washed following each use with warm, soapy water. You can keep your straw squeaky clean using a b.box cleaning brush set.Â
It contains every brush you need to hygienically clean all your b.box items, on one handy ring. Simply remove the straw as shown in our drink bottle straw instructional video here and away you go.Â
And always allow your straw and other parts to dry completely before reassembling and putting away.

Please note, we generally recommend dishwashing is okay with our Tritan drink bottle – it will not compromise the quality of your bottle or straw, however it may cause the print to scratch or fade.
roll + go mealtime mat
During feeding, we recommend tucking the loop away, on the underside of the mat, so that it allows the mat to sit flat on your surface and does not distract the child. You can tuck it away on the underside of the mat by anchoring the middle part of the loop into the tab, then push the sides in also.Â
You can keep your roll + go mealtime mat squeaky clean by handwashing in warm, soapy water or simply place in your dishwasher (top or bottom rack is fine) as soon as possible after using. After washing, your mat can be hung up by the loop to dry. Always allow to air dry completely before you roll up and pack away.
If using your roll + go mealtime mat out and about, it’s a good idea to scrape and dispose of excess food (and even give a quick wipe over if practical) before rolling up and securing with the attached loop. Then drop into a zip-lock or similar bag until you can wash properly.
To treat stains, see next question!
To avoid stains, we recommend washing your roll + go mealtime mat as soon as possible after use. Or at least, wipe off excess food until you can wash more thoroughly, by hand with hot water or in the dishwasher.
If regular washing won’t remove tough stains (like last night’s pasta sauce!) from your roll + go mealtime mat, you can try spot cleaning with natural ingredients like vinegar and/or baking soda.
Simply make a thick paste of baking soda and white vinegar or water, apply to stains and let sit for approx. 30 minutes. Rinse and wash as per usual.
You sure can! Your roll + go mealtime mat can be uv sterilised and it can be steam sterilised (up to 180 degrees Celsius). Just make sure you check the instructions and maximum temperature of your steam steriliser unit to ensure it complies.
Our roll + go mealtime mat is made from food-grade silicone so it’s non-porous and won’t absorb stinky food odours! Certain foods may slightly stain the mat however with regular washing and stain removal (as outlined in FAQs above) this can be easily remedied!
Always ensure you let your roll + go mealtime mat air-dry completely before rolling up and packing away to avoid stinkies and nasties, like mould!
Our roll + go mealtime mat is 34cm x 19 cm so it fits most standard highchair trays. If unsure, we recommend measuring your surface first.
Our roll + go mealtime mat does not suction to surfaces. Rather, the base is made from a gloss silicone, so it is non-slip and will stay put when rolled out flat onto an even, smooth table surface.
Just make sure to give your hard surface a good wipe and check the bottom of mat for any dust or dirt.
When using, ensure the silicone loop is tucked right in (on the underside of the mat anchor the middle part of the tab then push the sides of the tab in) so that your roll + go mealtime mat sits flat onto your table surface.
If your roll + go mealtime mat has been rolled up for a long period of time, it may need a reverse roll to flatten out again completely.
The bowl section will hold 180mL of wet foods such as yoghurt, custard, porridge, soup – you get the idea! The bowl section can also be used to serve dry foods.
