Well what an amazing first few months it's been since we launched the essential baby box in May. We are delighted that b.box is now available in over 100 stores nationally, as well as through various boutique party plan businesses, specialising in stylish, practical and innovative products for babies and parents. Speaking of stylish, practical and innovative, we'd like you to meet Chris and Linda from urbanbaby.com.au. 
How long have you been in business? 8 years What did you do before you started your business? We came from the corporate world: Linda headed up the Intranet site for BT and Chris worked in the exciting world of insurance broking. What makes your business unique? The first thing we learnt when we went into business is that we are both lunatics! (refer - eMyth), and it’s absolutely true. We have a great team and always have a good laugh at work which makes it fun. We keep 99% of our stock in our warehouse so we can always tell our customers if we have something in stock, and can get our hands on it if more information is needed. We also try to personally test each and every product to ensure it makes our standard – Stylish/Practical/Innovative. What do you love most about what you do? We love shopping for new things and testing them out. We have a lot of fun with some of the products we are sent, some are great and some are just ridiculous! Where’s your favourite way of sourcing new products? We love to travel – NZ, Europe, US and Japan always have amazing innovation, but the Aussies are pretty good at it too! And if we can’t go there, we just can’t help staying up late at night surfing the net. What’s your favourite time of the day? Morning Tea. We have a great espresso machine in the office so we can make yummy fresh coffee and chat about everything we need to do for the day. What’s the best piece of parenting advice you’ve ever received? Linda – Treat kids like kids, not like little adults. Chris – Linda taught me to double swaddle, ain't no baby getting out of that! If you could become any character from a children’s story, who would you be and why? Linda - Tinkle Monster: she loves to make people laugh, it makes her laugh! Chris – Fairy Godmother: then I could create anything from nothing and really impress my kids' friends. Who inspires you? We inspire each other. And Linda says her mum inspires her too. Who lives under your roof? Linda: Husband Mat, Sabine (8), Spencer (6) and Giselle (20mths). Chris: Husband Pete, Estella (8, born same day as Sabine!) and Cassidy (6). No deliberate, domestic pets.
