Hi everyone,
WOW what a month it’s been! We kicked things off with the Home & Giving Fair in Melbourne, which was fabulous. We had a brilliant response to the range and had interest from some very different new stockists, not least of whom – the RSPCA – who fell in love with the essential travel bib. We are so excited to be involved with such an amazing organisation and hope the bib raises lots of funds. For more about the great work of the RSPCA and how you can help, visit http://www.rspca.org.au. Many of our new stockists are listed on our site, with more to come online in the coming weeks. And remember if you can’t buy the b.box collection in your area, pop into your local gift or baby store and ask them to order it for you.
A huge thank you to the guys from Boon for lending us the amazing hot pink high chair for our stand. It looked sensational with our funky flower power travel bib.
Literally two days after the trade fair b.box welcomed two new arrivals – the latest shipment of the essential nappy caddy and the much anticipated arrival of Dannielle’s baby – Jemma Rose – who arrived on Friday 13 August. Mum and bub are doing well and are still busy working behind the scenes at b.box HQ. Dannielle would like to thank Monique for all her support and love. As Monique will
tell you, it was the hardest pregnancy she’s ever had! Seriously though Monique is the absolute best friend and business partner anyone could wish for. I’m just lucky we’re in this together – and she’s strong enough to handle the heavy stuff for the time being – LOL!
I have to tell you that as a new mum (well a new mum for the third time) I’ve had such fun using our products again with a baby. I have my new gorgeous mummy bag – courtesy of Monique, Rohan and their kids – and my cherry baby box. Throw in a wrap and I have everything I need. And the choc chip caddy looks brilliant in my living room. And because of my “contacts”, I have a caddy upstairs too – seriously love love love it as I am obsessed with order – don’t laugh, three kids and order – well I can dream can’t I?
I hope you’re enjoying using your b.box products as much as I am. We love to hear your feedback and stories so feel free to drop us an email anytime – info@bbox.com.au
In September, Monique heads off to the Kind + Jugend trade fair in Germany to introduce b.box to the broader EU market. She’s going
as part of the Australian Pavillion and we look forward to sharing with you all the gos from the show. Then we turn our attention to The Baby Show in Sydney. Dannielle will be on deck with great offers across the range. And then Monique flies out to Las Vegas for the US debut of b.box at the massive ABC Show. We’re so excited at how well the range is being received internationally – check out the latest feature in German magazine Luna Mama – and stay tuned for new international distributors and stockists – coming soon.
So until next time, it’s a wrap.
Cheers
Dannielle and Monique

We were so excited to open today’s Herald Sun and find a write up on b.box in the Baby Steps section in recognition of
our 2010Australian Business Award for Best New Product.
What a great way to spend a Sunday morning, reading the paper, coffee in hand, kids sleeping in – ah bliss.
And then to cap off a great weekend, we just found out we won the 2010 Ausmumpreneur Award for Product Innovation for our range – we’re sorry we missed all the festivities up in Brisbane at the Connect 2 Mum Annual Conference and Awards Night , but are so excited and honoured to have won. We were in amazing company and congratulate all the other entrepreneurs for their innovative and inspiring products and businesses.
The calm before the storm that is the week ahead as we gear up for the start of the Home and Giving Fair on Saturday at the Melbourne Showgrounds. We look forward to meeting new stockists and bringing the b.box range to more consumers across the country.
Stay tuned for more exciting b.box happenings.
Ciao for now

We are delighted to have been named the winner of the 2010 Australian Business Awards for Best New Product for the essential baby box. Winning the award validates our passion and commitment to creating innovative, affordable and practical baby essentials that fill a gap in the market and make parents lives that little bit easier.
The essential baby box has differentiated itself over the past 12 months in what is a highly competitive arena thanks to its unique and innovative form, function and design. It is:
- the only all-in-one nappy wallet made from environmentally friendly plastic
- the only nappy wallet with dual access wipes hatches
- the only nappy wallet with a built-in refillable wipes compartment.
The Australian Business Awards are a national, all-encompassing awards program honouring organisations that demonstrate the core values of business excellence, product excellence, sustainability and commercial success in their respective industries. The essential baby box won out of 78 entries in the new product category.
We are also excited to be a finalist in the Product Innovation Award category in the AusMumpreneur Awards, recognising the success of mumpreneurs nationally. Fingers crossed. We’re certainly in good company.
Ciao for now

We are excited that the editorial team at Little One Baby took a shine to both our new products, featuring the essential nappy caddy and the essential travel bib in the current issue – out now!
We were also thrilled with how the caddy was received at Mathilda’s Market in Sydney on the weekend.
In other b.box news, the essential baby box and caddy are now en route to Singapore to our new distributor mummylicious. We’re also excited to have done a deal with a leading US distributor to bring the essential baby box to US and Canada. Stay tuned for more details.

Well it’s been a couple of weeks since our last post, but what a couple of weeks! Firstly we ended March with a trip to Hobart for the first Mathilda’s Market in Tassie – thank you to all the mums, dads and nanas who came along and took home an essential baby box. We also used the trip south to meet with retailers and are delighted to welcome leading Hobart baby boutique Stork and Stork Baby as our new Tassie stockist, with two stores centrally located and gorgeous maternity clothing and children’s wear and accessories on offer. All in all it was a successful trip, despite a trip to the hospital with one of the munchkins who managed to break her collar bone – the song no more monkeys jumping on the bed comes to mind. Thankfully she’s almost healed – kids are so resilient.
And with only one night sleep it was caddy time – unloading our shipment that is. We are so
excited to finally have the caddies in our hot little hands and have been even more excited to see the boxes leaving the warehouse to stockists around the country and overseas. Keep an eye out at your nearest stockist for the essential nappy caddy (RRP $59.95) – a must have for every living room or parents’ room – no need to trek to bubs room for a quick change – and it also makes the ideal baby shower gift.
And for all of our Sydney friends, come along to Mathilda’s Market on Sunday 2 May in Lane Cove. We’ll have the new essential nappy caddy on sale, together with the essential baby box.
Ciao for now.

OK, so it’s been a few days now since The Baby Show in Melbourne closed, but it’s honestly taken us this long to recover! What a fabulous but frenetic three days – and a huge thank you to Melbourne for putting on such a wonderful stormy display for pack up on Sunday night!
Seriously though, thank you to everyone who came along and bought an essential baby box. And for those lucky few who got their hands on the first essential nappy caddies, enjoy! We had a limited number on hand at the show, but don’t despair, those that missed out can pre order one of our gorgeous new additions at www.urbanbaby.com.au. Most of our stockists will have them in store next month, so keep a look out. You’ll also notice our list of stockists is growing – we’re delighted to welcome so many new retailers, including our first store in Namibia.
We also ventured up to Sydney on Saturday for the first Mathilda’s Market at Paddington Town Hall – what a fab venue and the crowds were in fine form. A big shout out to Anne and her team who have made Mathilda’s an art form.
This weekend you’ll find us at Mathilda’s Market in Hawthorn – Hawthorn Town Hall – 9am-1pm, Sunday 14th March. See you there. It’s sure to be a brilliant morning.
Cheers for now
